The New Orleans Saints have re-signed another of their own, inking restricted free agent kicker Wil Lutz to a five year extension. The deal, first reported by Josh Katzenstein of The Times-Picayune, keeps one of the league's best kicker/punter combinations united with Lutz and punter Thomas Morstead.

The 24-yr. old Lutz joined the Saints as a free agent in 2016, and had the most accurate kicking season in franchise history in 2018, converting 28 of his 30 field goal attempts and 52 of 53 extra points. Lutz has converted 87% of his career field goal attempts, and will continue to provide a scoring threat for the Saints from long range. Terms of the deal have not yet been released, but New Orleans will be assured of having one of the most stable kicking situations in the NFL.
