Sean Payton talks Erik McCoy, Game of Thrones, and more

New Orleans Saints head coach joined Rich Eisen of the Rich Eisen Show, and he covered topics like Max Unger’s retirement, the 2019 NFL Draft, trading up to select Erik McCoy in the second round, Game of Thrones, the Kentucky Derby, and more.

On McCoy, Payton played it coy, and refused to commit to McCoy as a Week 1 starter.

Payton discusses that between McCoy and the recently-signed Nick Easton from the Minnesota Vikings, they have a lot of versatility on the offensive line.

Because Game of Thrones is a hot topic in the media world, of course Sean Payton was asked about the most recent episode and the Battle of Winterfell this past Sunday. And with the NFL draft on the mind, [mild spoiler alert] Payton mentioned Arya Stark would be his first draft pick for sitting on the Iron Throne.
