The NFL announced training camp reporting dates for all 32 teams on Monday afternoon. The New Orleans Saints rookies will report to duty on July 18, with the veterans in the week afterwards. July 27 kicks off the real fun, when padded practice comes. As it has been the case for the past several years, training camp will be held at the team’s practice facility in Metairie — and there will likely be one at Yulman Stadium on Tulane’s campus.
Practices that are open to the public have not yet been announced. Typically, 10-12 sessions are open to fans. These are a great opportunity to see your favorite players and get your first glimpse of the 2019 squad. There promises to be several intense position battles that will help shape up the final 53-man squad.
For anyone on the West Coast, the Saints will have joint practices with the Los Angeles Chargers on Aug. 15 and 16 (tickets here) in Costa Mesa, CA.
