Anything short would be a disappointment.

In 2017, the New Orleans Saints were one missed tackle from appearing in the NFC Championship game. Last year, they were one missed call away from making it to the Super Bowl. This year, they have their eyes set on winning the big one, and early betting odds would indicate they’re one of the favorites.

At NFL Sportsbook TopBet, you can view current Futures Bets for the 2019 NFL season. Odds for each team reaching winning their respective division, reach the Super Bowl, and winning it all are all laid out. In the Saints’ division, the NFC South, the Saints have the highest odds (+165) of winning the division. The remaining odds behind the should-be defending NFC Champions would be the Atlanta Falcons (+380), followed by the Carolina Panthers (+450), and finally the young Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1000).

Granted, the NFC South is the tied for the tightest division from top to bottom (according to odd-differential) in the NFC. Divisions like the West (with the Rams and the Cardinals) and East (with the Eagles and Giants), have huge disparities between the projected first and last-place finishers.

Speaking of the Rams, they along with the Saints, have the best odds of representing the NFC in the Super Bowl at +500. If you’re feeling froggy, the Saints are +1000 against winning the Super Bowl, still tied with the Rams, but behind the projected AFC opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots.

Of note as well, TopBet also has released initial odds for the NFL’s opening week. The Saints are -7 point favorites to beat the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football, but the Saints are notoriously poor performers on opening week, so this might even be a bet worth taking on the other side.
