The New Orleans Saints (2-1) are set to host the undefeated Dallas Cowboys (3-0) soon, as NBC’s Sunday Night Football should be a good one. Here’s who will be out tonight for Sean Payton’s squad.
- QB Drew Brees (thumb)
- WR Tre’Quan Smith (ankle)
- OL Will Clapp (hand)
- DB Saquan Hampton
- OL Ethan Greenidge
- DT Mario Edwards Jr.
- DB Ken Crawley
Brees, Smith, and Clapp were all previously ruled out on the team’s final injury report on Friday, while Rankins was listed as questionable. In the wee hours of Sunday morning, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport hinted that Rankins was expected to make his debut for New Orleans, and that is indeed the case.
Stephone Anthony, who was acquired this week due to the Kaden Elliss injury, is wearing No. 58. Veteran Ray-Ray Armstrong currently sports No. 50. Defensive end Carl Granderson is also active.
An interesting side note, Drew Brees was on full display during pre-game warmups, as he went through his normal routines and drills.
