The Saints could see a big boost on the defensive line today against the Dallas Cowboys with the possible return of Sheldon Rankins, per Ian Rapoprt.
Barring a setback in pre-game warmups, #Saints DT Sheldon Rankins (Achilles) is expected to make his season debut against the #Cowboys. A potential big lift for the defense.

The fourth year defensive tackle has been recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered in the divisional round playoffs last season against the Philadelphia Eagles. Rankins’s recovery time table has been impressive thus far, as these type of injuries can sometimes take up to a year to fully recover from.
Rankins has accumulated 14 sacks, 86 total tackles, and 3 forced fumbles throughout his career since being selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The team also picked up his fifth-year option in April for the 2020 season.
