Jared Cook and Andrus Peat named to Pro Bowl as alternates

Two Saints added to the Pro Bowl, leaving New Orleans with a franchise-record nine participants

Tight End Jared Cook and guard Andrus Peat have been added to this year’s Pro Bowl. It is both players’ second consecutive pro bowl appearance. It took Cook 10 seasons to make his first Pro Bowl with the Oakland Raiders last season, and he has now made another with the Saints. The Saints now have a total of nine players named to the pro bowl, a franchise record for the team.

Jared Cook tailed 43 receptions, 705 yards and 9 touchdowns for the Saints, and a large second half surge for the veteran got him the nod for the Pro Bowl.

With two more Saints added to the list, the two biggest team snubs are DeMario Davis and Ryan Ramcyzk, both named to first team all pro. With nine players named to the Pro Bowl and the possibility for more later on, it proves how talented this team was.
