The Saints are facing another loss today as news of linebacker Kiko Alonso tearing his ACL came out early this morning. Tom Pelissero broke the news:
#Saints LB Kiko Alonso suffered a torn ACL in yesterday’s loss to the #Vikings, sources tell me and @RapSheet. That’s three ACL injuries for Alonso, who knows the process well. Should be ready to start next season.

The linebacker—who bounced around numerous teams— was traded for from Miami at the beginning of the season in a player-for-player trade that had the Saints send Vince Biegel to the Dolphins.
Alonso is dealing with his third ACL injury as he enters the final season of his contract. If the team decides to bring him back for next season he’ll have a $6.4 million cap hit.
