The Cowboy have their new head coach, Mike McCarthy. McCarthy immediately expressed interest in signing Saints linebacker coach Mike Nolan. While head coach and general manager of the 49ers he hired Mike McCarthy as his OC.

Ian Rapoport is calling it a done deal.

Mike Nolan joined the Saints 1-31-17 as their linebackers coach and has been in that position for the past three years. The University of Oregon graduate, is the son of Coach Dick Nolan who guided the Saints from 1978-80. His history of coaching in Louisiana includes a stint at Louisiana State. He has coached in the NFL in one form or another, for 32 years. Nolan was instrumental in turning the Saints linebacking corps into the strength that it is today.
