Saints vs. Bears

Marquez Callaway - WR (NO)
The Saints seem to have found another late draft day gem of a wide receiver wearing the number 12 in the form of Tennessee product Marquez Callaway. The UDFA led the Saints in targets and receiving yards on Sunday, and helped the Saints offense to deal with the absences of Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. It is looking unlikely that Thomas will be able to play next week in Chicago, and Sanders may not be off the Covid-19 list by Sunday, so if you are looking for a short term replacement with some upside at WR, Callaway could be your guy.

Sterling Shepard - WR (NYG)
Shepard returned from injury Thursday night and immediately re-established himself as the Giants top receiving option. He led the team in receiving yards and also caught a touchdown in his return to action against the Eagles. He should be in consideration for your FLEX spot moving forward, especially with mounting injuries in the Giants backfield, and the prospect of them needing to throw more to try and come from behind. Hopefully Daniel Jones can play well and doesn’t trip up any fantasy production Shepard might have.

Giovani Bernard - RB (CIN)
An injury to Joe Mixon gave Bernard the opportunity to remind us all that he is still a very solid running back. He had 18 touches and scored 16.5 fantasy points in relief of Mixon against a Cleveland defense that ranks 15th against fantasy RBs. Mixon is considered week to week at this point, but the Bengals may be keen to hold him out of a week 8 match up against the Titans as their bye comes in week 9. Consider Bernard a good FLEX play this week.

Carlos Hyde - RB (SEA)
Hyde looked like he is still the RB that ran for 1,000 yards in Houston last year. Coming in early in relief of Chris Carson, Hyde carried the ball 15 times for 68 yards and a score in the Seahawks thriller against the Cardinals on Sunday night. If Carson misses significant time, Hyde could pick up right where Carson left off in Seattle as a top 20 fantasy RB.
