Despite earning a hard-fought win last week, confidence among New Orleans Saints fans took a hard hit this week after a hard hit to Drew Brees knocked him out of the game with injured ribs.

According to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, 86 percent of Saints fans are confident the team is headed in the right direction. That’s down from 100 percent last week.

The dip is likely due to the loss of Drew Brees to injury for the near future. The Saints will reportedly start Taysom Hill at quarterback this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons, a game fans nationally picked New Orleans to win. It is unclear how many, if any, of NFL fans would change their prediction for the game now that Taysom appears to be the starting quarterback.

Something Saints fans know well is the importance of a dominant quarterback. Fans around the country were asked about the next wave of signal callers. Fans said of the QBs drafted in the last two years, Kyler Murray will have the best career. The Cardinals quarterback earned 33 percent of the vote, ahead of Joe Burrow with with 22 percent, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert with 17 percent and Tua Tagovailoa with 11 percent.
