After an overtime win over the Bears, confidence in the New Orleans Saints took a slight bump up among fans. It’s not clear, though, if gaining confidence is from a four-game winning streak, or the upcoming return of Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, and Marquez Callaway back into the New Orleans offense.

According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, 70 percent of fans are confident in the team right now. That is a gain from 67 percent a week ago and 56 percent two weeks ago. Had the Saints not had to go to overtime for the second time in three weeks, maybe confidence would be even higher.

Nationally, fans don’t think the Saints will keep the momentum going this week, picking the Buccaneers to win Sunday Night. The matchup between the top-two teams in the NFC South, however, is the most anticipated game of the weekend.

The Saints are very much in the playoff hunt, but unlike other contending teams, they didn’t make a midseason move to bolster their roster aside from the trade for Kwon Alexander from the San Francisco 49ers. When asked which midseason addition would make the biggest difference more than a third of fans picked the Buccaneers signing wide receiver Antonio Brown, followed by the Seahawks trading for Carlos Dunlap.
