Well that wasn’t good. The Saints nine game win streak as well as their streak of not allowing a 100 yard rusher have both been snapped as they drop their third game of the year, losing 24-21 to the Philadelphia Eagles. The defense did not look great as they were unable to limit rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts in his first NFL start. If Hurts continues to play like this then we may have well seen Carson Wentz make his last start in Philly last week. The Saints are eagerly awaiting the return of Drew Brees as costly turnovers and poor pocket presence did nothing to help Taysom Hill’s chance of remaining the starting QB after Brees retires, although I am sure Sean Payton will talk himself into it anyway. Also shoutout to Florida CB Marco Wilson for ruining my weekend before this game even kicked off. Congratulations to all the LSU fans reading this and no I’m not ok. Who Dat!

STUD: Alvin Kamara
Kamara once again found the end zone and was finally involved in the passing game for really the first time with Hill under center in Week 14. This was Kamara’s best performance with Taysom at QB, scoring 18.5 points while catching 7 passes for 44 yards to go along with 50 rushing yards and a score on the ground. Kamara remains one of the options at running back as long as he gets involved in the passing game. Look for him to keep it up going forward as Brees is worked back into the offense hopefully sooner rather than later.

dud: Saints D/ST
The Saints defense had their worst game since Week 3 against Green Bay, in a game that could ultimately cost them the top seed in the NFC. Only generating one turnover and allowing two 100 yard rushers, the Saints D/ST put up -1 points in what looked like a good matchup for them. It will not get any easier in the future however as the defending champion Chiefs are up next.

STUD: Miles Sanders
You have to give Sanders props for being the back to break the Saints 100 yard rusher streak. Helped by an 82-yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter, Sanders ran for 115 yards and 2 TDs on Sunday, finishing behind only Derrick Henry and Jonathan Taylor in RB scoring Sunday afternoon. Sanders has two easy matchups against Arizona and Dallas in the next two weeks, and looks to be much more involved in the Jalen Hurts offense than he was with Carson Wentz under center.
Season Standings
Alvin Kamara has now all but locked up Fantasy MVP, as the Saints D/ST will have to finish strong in order to catch him.
