Drew Brees is back.
By all accounts, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees should be making his return to the field Sunday against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. After missing four games with eleven rib fractures, Brees reportedly has been medically cleared and ready to go.
If the Saints can eke out a win over Kansas City’s high-powered offense on Sunday afternoon, or the rival Atlanta Falcons can upset Tom Brady’s Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints would clinch their fourth-consecutive division title.
Kansas City won’t make it easy, though. The Saints may have Drew Brees, but they won’t have Michael Thomas. The Chiefs, on the other hand, are generally at full strength on offense, with Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire all suiting up the champs.
