Hard to be too upset over a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. They are clearly the best team in football but the Saints today showed if they play a good enough game they can easily hang with and potentially defeat the Chiefs. A slow start and costly penalties cost the Saints in the end, if only we all had a dollar for every time that happened. The Saints schedule gets easier down the stretch as they will meet the Vikings on Christmas Day and the Panthers in Week 17, hoping to close out the NFC South and hold onto the #2 seed in the NFC playoffs.

STUD: Drew Brees
Brees had an incredibly slow start in his return to action, beginning the game 0 for 6 passing with an interception to boot. He finished strong though, throwing for 234 yards and 3 TDs after his slow start. His arm strength looked pretty good as there were plenty of deep pass attempts to go with the usual amount of checkdowns. A injury depleted receiving core however severely limited what the Saints were able to do offensively in this game. Brees should be able to rest up and be close to 100% for the Christmas Day tilt with the Vikings.

STUD: Alvin Kamara
Kamara was back to his usual ways catching the ball on Sunday, gaining 40 yards and a TD through the air to go along with 54 yards rushing. Brees entering the lineup again helped Kamara get involved in the passing game again, as he had his second most receiving yards of the year since Brees went down. Up next for Kamara is a Minnesota defense that was just gashed for 146 yards and two TDs by Bears RB David Montgomery. Look for Kamara to deliver you a nice Christmas gift in your championship games come Week 16.
Season Standings
Alvin Kamara has clinched Saints Fantasy MVP! His STUD performance against Kansas City now puts him four points ahead of the pack with two games to go. He is a tight race with Dalvin Cook and Derrick Henry for overall RB1 in 2020, and will have an uphill climb to get there. But still, and top 3 year after a relatively disappointing fantasy season last year is great for Alvin Kamara. The pressure is now on Jared Cook to have a big game in the final two weeks to avoid being named Fantasy LVP.
