The 2021 Pro Bowl roster has been officially announced, and of course it is already ripe with controversy. New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis, who has been the heart and soul of the Saints top-3 defense this year, and Trey Hendrickson, who is tied for the league lead in sacks with Aaron Donald, were two of the biggest snubs of the year.
Pro Bowl players for the Saints include Alvin Kamara, Andrus Peat, Terron Armstead, Cam Jordan, and Marshon Lattimore. Lattimore and particularly Peat come as surprise selections, as both players have had their struggles this season. Kamara, Armstead, and Jordan were obvious picks as they remain among the leagues best at their position.
Cam Jordan, Alvin Kamara, Terron Armstead, Marshon Lattimore, and Andrus Peat named to the Pro Bowl roster!

Taking the place of Demario Davis is San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. Warner is a great player, but if we are going on stats, Davis has more tackles, sacks, passes defensed, and stuffs than Warner this year. Davis’s impact is felt more significantly off the stat sheet however, as he is the undisputed leader of the New Orleans defense. Davis is the one in the middle of the huddle before every game getting the team ready to go to war on the football field. He sets the example on and off the field as well as evident by his nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
Trey Hendrickson is tied for the lead in sacks with arguably the best player in all of football in Aaron Donald. He was snubbed in favor of Chase Young and Brandon Graham, who combined would only equal Hendrickson’s sack total of 12.5.
The 2021 Pro Bowl will take place virtually on EA’s Madden 21 NFL video game, with current players and streamers playing against each other with the selected rosters.
