It was a move we all expected after Drew Brees announced his return to the New Orleans Saints for the 2020 season. We all knew Teddy Bridgewater would likely find a starting job somewhere else beginning in 2020. We just didn’t know where. Now we think we have a good idea: the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers and Teddy Bridgewater are negotiating a 3-year contract in the $60 million range, per source. The deal is not done as they work out details but it is expected to be complete when new league year opens Wednesday.— Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) March 17, 2020
The quarterbacks around the NFC South could get crazy this offseason, with reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to sign Tom Brady and Cam Newton likely getting shipped out of Carolina with Bridgewater the new starter.
Stay tuned for more details.
