The NFL world has its first confirmed case of covid-19 and it hits close to home for Saints fans. Adam Schefter broke the news on twitter that Saints head coach Sean Payton has tested positive for the virus that has essentially shut down the world of sports and beyond.
Saints’ HC Sean Payton tested positive for the coronavirus, he told ESPN on Thursday. Payton is the first person in the NFL world known to test positive for the virus.

According to ESPN, Payton began feeling ill over the weekend and was tested on Monday and recieved the positive result Thursday.
The news comes in the middle of free agency, which has already been thrown off due to players being unable to visit other teams for fear of spreading the virus.
