Although the free agency frenzy has died down, the NFC South keeps dealing and we are rolling inexorably towards the 2020 NFL draft. Despite the strangely inert state that COVID-19 has put the sports world in, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has shot down any talks of postponing the draft. Thus, on Thursday April 23, all 32 NFL teams will once again add talent to their rosters, this time in the form of rookies hoping to make their mark in the NFL later this year. That is of course, if there is a 2020-2021 NFL season at all. We are all hoping that will be the case.

Here is a look at the top stories being discussed on the other three NFC South blogs on SB Nation.
Atlanta Falcons (via The Falcoholic)
- Know Thy Enemy: Here’s a very interesting look at the Falcons’ roster after the first wave of free agency. The Falcoholic’s Dave Choate thinks Atlanta still has a long way to go roster-wise to become a contender again.
- CB Trevon Diggs On Falcons Radar: Atlanta let go of longtime cornerback Desmond Trufant this offseason and is in the market for a cornerback. Alabama’s Trevon Diggs (the younger brother of Stefon) is a talented corner that could fit right in. Just don’t watch his tape from the 2019 LSU game. On second thought, please do and hope the Falcons draft him.
- Treadwell Hoping for Fresh Start in Atlanta: The Falcons signed wide receiver Laquon Treadwell this offseason. The former Ole Miss star was a first-round draft pick of the Vikings in 2016, but failed to deliver in Minnesota.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via Bucs Nation)
- Ndamukong Suh is Back in Tampa: Drew Brees and the Saints’ offense will once again have to contend with the veteran defensive tackle. Later in his career, Suh has become a bit of a hit-or-miss player, but when he is on, he is still a load for any offensive line.
- Say What? The oddsmaker have the Bucs favored in 13 of their 16 regular season games next year. Guess who they face in two of the three games they’re not favored in?
- Tampa’s Defense Will Be A Challenge: A look at the Bucs’ other side of the ball following the first wave of free agency. Brady is all the talk, but don’t sleep on the Buccaneers’ defense.
Carolina Panthers (via Cat Scratch Reader)
- Hidden Cam: The Panthers have officially released Cam Newton, marking the end of an era in Charlotte. A once formidable opponent for the Saints, Newton will now look to extend his NFL career elsewhere, with no assurance of a starting spot. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
- Robby Anderson Is A Panther: Once thought to be a Saints’ target in free agency, the former New York Jets wide receiver signed with the Panthers, joining an NFC South division that is stockpiling talent at breakneck pace this offseason. The Saints got their man in Emmanuel Sanders, so no regrets here.
- Curtis Samuel or D.J. Moore? With the aforementioned Robby Anderson signing, the Panthers now have a bit of a surplus in wide receivers. It isn’t too far-fetched then to think that Carolina might trade one of their young and productive wide receivers to make room for Anderson and his 20-million dollars contract. But which one to keep and which one to cut?
