The New Orleans Saints traded all of their Day 3 picks in the 2020 NFL Draft on Day 2, you say? They won’t pick again until 2021?
You must not be a fan.
The Saints are never “done,” and are always willing to trade up to grab the player they want in the draft. This time, it was trading a 2021 6th round pick to jump back into the 7th round this year to select Mississippi State QB Tommy Stevens.
Per our friends at For Whom the Cowbell Tolls:
At Penn State, the 6-foot-5, 235-pound prospect was 24-for-41 passing for 304 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 506 yards and eight touchdowns and caught 14 passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns in 23 career games played with the Nittany Lions.
You can see why he’s already drawing early comparisons to Taysom Hill (who went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft).
What grade would you give this pick? Vote in the poll. Explain in the comments. Send me presents.
