To say the New Orleans Saints signing Jameis Winston was a “polarizing” move might be a bit of an understatement.
It’s not often a 5,000 yard passer hits the open market, and it’s even crazier to think the former first overall draft pick is signing up to join the New Orleans Saints as a backup quarterback. But such is the world we live in.
The news shocked the NFL world and Saints players, media, and fans took to Twitter to share their excitement shock horror anticipation holycowwhatjusthappened reaction to the move. Here are some of the best:

This is the first time in NFL history two QBs on the same roster have thrown for 5,000 yards.

Drew Brees has done it 5 times
Jameis Winston threw for 5,109 yards

I’ll be surprised if Jameis Winston’s contract is very large. This wasn’t about money for him.

Don't forget to add *signed Jameis Winston* to be the backup QB.

The Salary Cap is a myth https://t.co/24HTzDvFZl
I would rather have targeted Cam Newton but I get going with Winston. Cleaner medical history and he's willing to take a lesser deal to join the Saints. Unclear what shape Newton's in after surgeries or what his salary parameters look like

Can’t wait for Jameis Winston to incite a fight with Mike Evans and Marshon Lattimore comes to Jameis’ defense.

Certainly different times we live in.

I’ll pass on the hurrahs but Jameis is one helluva competitor with untapped potential... 33/30 w/ goat tutelage

Talk radio with plenty to talk about now and it's not like you just had the draft or something. It's a good move for both parties.

Just once.

Just once.
Let me please see Brees wrap up a big pre-game speech and then Winston runs in yelling about eating W's.
Please.
Just once.
