Saints fans give favorable grade to 2020 draft class

And fan confidence in the team couldn’t be higher.

NFL: DEC 22 Saints at Titans

The results are in from fans of the New Orleans Saints in SB Nation’s newest FanPulse survey. Saints fans were asked to grade the New Orleans Saints 2020 NFL Draft class. As a reminder, that class includes OL Cesar Ruiz out of Michigan, LB/EDGE Zack Baun out of Wisconsin, Dayton tight end Adam Trautman, and former Mississippi State and Penn State quarterback/running back/wide receiver Tommy Stevens.

When asked to grade the entire draft class, Saints fans were generally pleased with the haul, with the majority of those polled giving the 2020 draft class the highest marks.

With this in mind, it should come at no surprise that Saints fans are still incredibly confident in the direction of their team after the draft. With questions surrounding the nature of their postseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings and a potential Drew Brees retirement, it’s understandable fan confidence was waning at the end of last season. With Drew Brees set to return, and key acquisitions like Emmanuel Sanders and Jameis Winston in free agency, along with an exceptional draft class, Saints fans are again ready to see their team in action.

Of note, only four other teams had 100% fan confidence right now - in the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, and in the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Elsewhere in the NFC South, Carolina Panther fans likewise gave their draft class an “A” grade, but fan confidence was “only” at roughly 90%. Atlanta Falcons fans gave their draft class only a “B,” with fan confidence now around 70%. Sorry, Atlanta.
