POLL: Which team in the NFC South do you dislike more, the Panthers or Buccaneers?

The Falcons are obviously #1, but who’s 2 and 3?

It’s no secret the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons are like oil and water. No love is lost between the players or the fans, and each team typically finds a sick level of joy out of the other team’s failure.

But outside of the NFC South rivalry between the Saints and Falcons, who would be the Saints next biggest rival? Or put another way, which team do you dislike the most?

When you ask most Saints fans for a list of rival teams they dislike not named “Falcon,” you’d be met with all kinds of answers. Older fans might quickly say the San Francisco 49ers from the old NFC West days. Millenials might say the Dallas Cowboys or the New England Patriots due to the former’s success in the early 90s and the latter’s in the 2000s. Newer fans might pick recent playoff foes like the Minnesota Vikings or Los Angeles Rams.

The problem is when you try to narrow it to just the Panthers or Buccaneers.

Frankly, neither team has been around long enough to develop the sort of animosity that exists between the Falcons and Saints. The Buccaneers only moved to the NFC in 1977 and the Carolina Panthers have existed as a franchise since only 1995. Heck, the entire NFC South has really only been in existence since 2002.

But if you had to pick one team over the other, which route would you go? Do you dislike the Panthers more due to their period of fighting for the NFC South relatively recently, led by Cam Newton? Or do you instead find more joy out of the Buccaneers losing, considering they’re the only other team in the division that has won a Super Bowl?

Whatever your reason, vote in the poll. Explain in the comments. Send me presents.
