A collection of news and stories from the other SB Nation NFC South blogs

Atlanta Falcons (via The Falcoholic)

Falcon player selling 2016 NFC Championship ring on eBay. Wow, when you don’t possess the ring that really matters, because you gagged away a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl, maybe it makes sense to want to pawn your meaningless NFC Championship ring. That is seemingly how one Falcon player is thinking.

Vic Beasley ultimately wants to be a pastor. Former Falcons pass rusher Vic Beasley’s ultimate goal has always been to become the pastor of a large church (say what?). The Falcons apparently knew about it and used that aspiration to motivate Beasley to play at a higher level. Yeah, another great and weird story for you to mock the Falcons. Enjoy!

The NFL wants to pump fake crowd noise into stadiums this fall. Who better to ask for tips on how to do it properly than the Atlanta Falcons? After all they’re the team that used to do it to cover up the fact they never have enough fans in the stands during home games.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via Bucs Nation)

O.J. Howard is making strides and Gronk is helping him along. One of the scariest prospects for defenses in the NFL this upcoming season will be having to defend Tom Brady when he has two excellent tight ends to throw to. Remember when Brady had Gronk and the late Aaron Hernandez in New England? Well now in Tampa, he will have Gronk and O.J. Howard, who is finally starting to get it. With the help of none other than Rob Gronkowski himself.

Gronk brings the party to Tampa. While he will likely be a force to be reckoned with on the field in Tampa Bay, Gronk will also be a force off the field (duh). The All-Pro tight end and his brothers have launched “The Gronks” and new YouTube channel detailing their exploits in various competitions. A very interesting read on a player that has been one of the most fascinating NFL figures over the past decade.

Bucs’ Devin White looking for a better start in 2020. Many in Louisiana are familiar with the fierce middle linebacker out of LSU. Going into his sophomore NFL campaign with the Buccaneers, a healthy White is excited for his opportunity to finally shine.

Carolina Panthers (via Cat Scratch Reader)

Report: Matt Rhule off to a great start in training camp. The Carolina Panthers new head coach is a rookie, and like all rookies, Matt Rhule is eager to show that he belongs. So far in training camp, the new head coach is reportedly setting the right tone.

Taylor Moton still without a new contract. In a season in which offensive line is one of Carolina’s primary concerns, the Panthers have begun training camp with one of their young and talented O-lineman going into the last year of his contract. It might just be a matter of time until Moton is extended a new contract offer, but Carolina might be playing with fire if Moton has a great year and enters free agency.

Ron Rivera diagnosed with cancer. On a more somber note, former Panthers head coach and current Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera has been diagnosed with lymph node cancer. The prognosis is favorable at this stage, which is good news. All our good vibes and positive thoughts go out to Riverboat Ron.
