New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is undoubtedly the superstar on show for the team with receiver Michael Thomas out with a high-ankle sprain. Quarterback Drew Brees was expected to rely heavily on Kamara in tonight’s Sunday Night Football game. The Green Bay Packers defense has been poor against defending the run and Kamara has taken advantage early.
In the Saints second drive Kamara was on full display. His 2019 was lackluster after dealing with a MCL injury all season, but 2020 has been a different story. The running back has found his form that seemed to be missing. His second drive was absolutely phenomenal after he went off for a 49-yard gain, his longest in two years, and then capped it off with a touchdown.

The game plan for New Orleans has to be to continue running the ball and gashing the Green Bay line. There is plenty of opportunity for not just Kamara, but also Latavius Murray to make an impact in this game. If the Saints can control the ball for the majority of the game while also putting points on the board, it bodes well for their chances of winning the game. It also means keeping Aaron Rodgers off the field.
