The offense was the intrigue coming in, but the defense is the story coming out of the Saints’ 21-9 victory over the Chicago Bears

The New Orleans Saints offense might have started slow, the defense played up to its potential, taking away the favorite tools of the Chicago Bears offense. It all came down to a 21-9 victory for New Orleans who know braces for another Division Round clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas return, but so did Deonte Harris who stood out among the Saints’ offensive weaponry. Things looked to click in the second half after a stalling start for the offense. While the defense didn’t have the biggest plays, the were consistent in denying Mitch Trubisky his comforts. Oh, and another Bears wide receivers get booted for punching Ceedy Duce.
