Drew Brees is likely playing in his last game in the Superdome

Let’s hope it’s not his last game of the season, though.

The New Orleans Saints are currently facing off against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round of the 2021 postseason, and what all Saints fans had secretly known, but openly denied, has been reported yet again.

Jay Glazer has reported that this game between the Saints and Buccaneers will be Drew Brees’s last game played in the city of New Orleans.

Think what you want about Jay Glazer and his ability to break news like this, but Glazer has a history with Sean Payton. Glazer has repeatedly been the one to break other Saints news in the past, including Sean Payton’s contract extensions, so when he speaks so definitively about something related to the Saints, he’s usually right.

Granted, most of us knew this already that Drew was going to be hanging it up after the season, but knowing that even if the season continues, Drew would be done in the Dome, is tough. With the Green Bay Packers advancing to the NFC Championship Game and holding the NFC’s #1 seed, a conference championship would be at Lambeau and a potential Super Bowl appearance would be in Tampa.

Let’s just try to win one more for Drew.
