For the Saints, kicker Wil Lutz, defensive end Marcus Davenport, linebacker Kwon Alexander, and receiver Tre’Quan Smith have all been designated to return from injured reserve. Center Eric McCoy has said he hopes to be ready for Monday night. Michael Thomas is reportedly a couple of weeks away from making his 2021 season debut.
For the Seahawks, Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson and starting running back Chris Carson have recently been placed on injured reserve and will miss Monday’s game.
It’s likely these reasons that the New Orleans Saints open as 4.5 point road favorites according to DraftKings sportsbook.

A defense that can contain the run without stacking the box allows Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to focus on shutting down receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.
A Saints offense with a quarterback who has a cannon of an arm facing a Seahawks defense that struggles in the secondary, coupled with a Seahawks offense down multiple starters facing a Saints defense that is one of the most underrated in the NFL...
