Sit: Saints D/ST
The Saints defense has been playing great this year. They are the fourth highest scoring D/ST in fantasy this year, and have had three games of 10+ points. However, the Buccaneers are surrendering the second fewest points to opposing D/ST’s this year, and have not allowed more than 0 points to a D/ST since Week 2. The Saints will have to win the line of scrimmage if they have any hope of winning on Sunday, but do not count on the Saints D/ST for many points this week, you should be looking for a substitute D/ST for this matchup.
Start: Rob Gronkowski
Gronkowski seems to be back to full health, as he practiced in full on Thursday. Also contributing to Gronkowski’s prospects this week is the fact that Antonio Brown likely will not play, and fellow tight end OJ Howard has been limited in practice this week with an ankle injury. Gronkowski scored 17+ points in the first two games of the season in which he was healthy, and now with a depleted set of pass catchers he should see more targets this week coming off of injury. The matchup is not great, as the Saints defense is giving up the 5th fewest points to tight ends, but the Bucs offense has been potent enough to rise above bad matchups so far this week. Gronkowski should be a top 7 play at TE this week.
