The New Orleans Saints have a new QB1.
The #Saints are expected to start QB Trevor Siemian on Sunday vs. the #Falcons, sources say. Not a surprise considering how poised he was in relief last week.

After Drew Brees retired this past offseason, the Saints went into preseason with a quarterback competition between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill. When Jameis won the starting job, Taysom reverted back to his role on the offense, spending time at wide receiver, tight end, half back, and special teams.
When Jameis Winston went out last week due to a devastating knee injury, Taysom Hill was inactive (due to lingering effects from a concussion), so back-up Trevor Siemian stepped into the starting role for the rest of the game. This week, the Saints have both Hill and Siemian healthy and ready go to, and it will be Siemian who takes the starting spot against the Falcons.
If you’re a betting person, I would still expect to see a lot of Taysom Hill at quarterback during this game, though. Just because Trevor Siemian is the “starting” quarterback doesn’t mean he’ll be the “only” quarterback.
