The New Orleans Saints have two transactions on today’s wire report. They first re-signed undrafted free agent defensive back, Eric Burrell, after a failed physical designation last week. He originally signed a UDFA deal with the team minutes after the 2021 NFL Draft. Burrell was one of the Saints' high valued undrafted free agents, and after losing DB Trill Williams to the Miami Dolphins via the waiver wire, they bring back Burrell.

The corresponding move was placing undrafted free agent offensive guard Alex Hoffman on the retired list. Hoffman announced his retirement after being accepted into med-school. The Saints will still have the rights to Hoffman while he remains on the retired list if he opts to return he would revert back to the Saints.
