Teams around the league hope to have made big improvements to their roster Thursday night in the first round of the NFL Draft. In addition to making the right picks, the Saints hope to excite the fan base as well.
According to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, Saints fans aren’t sure what to think of the team using their first-round pick on DE Payton Turner. Votes were all over the place, likely due in large part due to the surprising pick of a defensive end when there were such glaring holes at cornerback and linebacker.

The biggest stories of the night around the league came, as they often do, from teams hoping to have found their franchise quarterback. Five signal callers went in the first 15 picks, and the New Orleans Saints picked a quarterback themselves in the third round.
According to fans around the league, the Jacksonville Jaguars made the right choice with the first overall pick. 56 percent of NFL fans think Trevor Lawrence will be the best quarterback drafted this year. The Chicago Bears decision to jump up in the draft also appears to be well received, with 15 percent thinking their new quarterback Justin Fields will be the best QB.
