A weekly look at the top stories being discussed on the other three NFC South blogs on SB Nation.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via Bucs Nation)
- Are the Saints playoffs contenders next season? A very interesting take on the post-Brees Saints from the Bucs Nation Podcast. Of course, Bucs fans are quite well acquainted with Jameis Winston, who figures to be the Saints’ starting quarterback in the 2021-22 NFL season. And let’s just say: they are not brimming with confidence in No. 2.
- Mike Evans ranked as an NFL top 10 wide receiver by ESPN. We all know a Saints’ cornerback who is probably laughing at that. But, Evans is a very good wide receiver, just not so much when he has played opposite Marshon Lattimore.
- Bucs duo of linebackers makes ESPN’s top-10 poll. While everyone is praising Tom Brady for turning around the Bucs’ fortunes last season, it is undeniable that Tampa Bay’s defense is really what propelled the Bucs to their wins in the playoffs and in the Super Bowl in February. Two of the leaders on that defense are Devin White and Lavonte David. And the NFC South and the NFL will have to content with those two for many years to come.

Atlanta Falcons (via The Falcoholic)
- Here we go again: Matt Ryan’s days in Atlanta appear to be numbered. Early draft predictions have the Falcons selecting a quarterback in the 2022 NFL draft.
- Falcon’s 2021-22 season predictions: boom or...mediocre. PFF has the Falcons as a double-digit winning team next season. Well that, or just slightly better than their very poor 4-12 record of the 2020 season.
- Falcons training camp preview: quarterbacks. Do you know who would replace Matt Ryan under center if for instance he were injured during the regular season? Here are the signal callers Atlanta is bringing to training camp.

Carolina Panthers (via Cat Scratch Reader)
- A new feature to the comment sections on SB Nation. Have you noticed? Do you like it?
- Panthers sign Taylor Moton to 5-year, $85 million deal. Carolina’s starting right tackle is not only staying put, he will not play under the franchise tag.
- Panthers 2021-22 season opener countdown. 59 days until their opener, there is only one No. 59 in Panthers’ history worthy of this section.
