[WATCH] How the David Onyemata suspension really went down

It’s a skit. But then again, we are the Saints. Maybe it’s real.

As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, New Orleans Saints DT David Onyemata has been suspended without pay for the first six games of the 2021 regular season. To his credit, Onyemata has taken full responsibility for testing positive for a banned substance.

But…I don’t know. I’m a Saints fan. Stuff like this is always fishy to me. I know that our boys in the black and gold often can’t let us even enjoy the “dog days of the offseason” without some crippling news to anger us, but this news seems too much.

I’m just going to go ahead and say it: I think it’s a conspiracy. You can’t tell me one of the most well-respected, well-recognized, and highly-revered organizations like the New Orleans Saints constantly get bad news like this. The Carolina Panthers? Maybe. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Well before Tom Brady saved them, yeah. The Atlanta Falcons? Ha! Duh. But the New Orleans Saints? No way man. Something is up.

In fact, here’s how I think the David Onyemata suspension really went down.
