There’s no way around it, the New Orleans Saints kicked off the season yesterday in dominant fashion. With most of the sports media picking the Packers to dominate the Saints, it was quite satisfying for fans of New Orleans to see their team not only win...but look good doing it. As always, Saints Twitter was a fun place to be during game day & yesterday was no different. Here are a few highlighted reactions from the Saints 38-3 decimation of the Packers.

For all of the praise the Saints fanbase gave not only Jameis, but the entire Saints team yesterday. One tweet stood out yesterday that I’m sure will be a topic of discussion as the week goes on.

Chris Rosvoglou, a sports writer for the Spun & podcaster for Boot Krewe Media, had this to say after the Saints win over the Packers.

It’s hard to argue with Chris here. The story after a Saints win if you turn on most sports talk shows aren’t about how good the Saints were, but how badly the other team performed. I’m sure that the running story of the week will be focused on the misfocus of Rodgers and the lack of chemistry this team showed during the game. Regardless of what the media has to say, the Saints are now 1-0 and put the entire NFL on notice.

Another big story of the day were that Winston had zero turnovers. Much to the shock of the entire NFL fanbase, Winston showed both comfort and poise during the game while making smart decisions with the football. Apparently, the year under Sean Payton & Drew Brees has paid off for the new QB1 in New Orleans

Another Saints player who dominated the Twitter timelines yesterday was none other than Marshon Lattimore. Lattimore played outstanding and managed to lock down Davante Adams for most of the game. If that wasn’t enough, he locked down a 5 year extension for 97.6 million dollars.

The Saints take on the Panthers next this Sunday at noon. Check back here next week for more social media reactions!
