The Saints defense lifted the Saints to a much needed rebound victory against the Patriots. The Jameis Winston experience is a roller coaster that belongs at Six Flags, as the new starting QB threw for two touchdowns and no interceptions a week after throwing two picks against the Panthers. Marquez Callaway’s first touchdown catch is one we will never forget, coming off a pass from Winston who was being dragged to the ground and simply threw it up for grabs. However, no matter how pretty it was, it was still good to see the offense get back on track after managing just seven points last week.

STUD: Saints D/ST
The Saints D/ST picked off Mac Jones three times on Sunday, the first three interceptions of the rookies young career. One of these interceptions was returned for a touchdown by Malcolm Jenkins, and one set the Saints up in the red zone. With two sacks and a blocked kick thrown in, the Saints D/ST’s 19 points led all D/ST’s on Sunday. The Saints D/ST is looking like an every week starter at this point, and next week seems to be a good matchup as the Giants come to town in what will be the Saints opener in the Superdome, a game we know the defense will be amped up for.

dud: Patriots running backs
The New England backfield has long been one of the more frustrating units in fantasy football. It is never clear who is going to be the best back to own in this committee, but this week the answer was clear, none of them. James White unfortunately was sidelined with an injury for most of the day, and Damien Harris was unable to capitalize on White’s absence. The Patriots backfield is a unit you should avoid at all costs at this point, unless you simply have no better options.
