The best of the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers, travel to face the dwindling and banged up Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.

Monday Night Football takes place this week between two teams going in opposite directions. The San Francisco 49ers travel to take on the Minnesota Vikings in a game that should have had a lot of star power. Unfortunately, superstar receiver Justin Jefferson is injured and will not play in this game. For the Niners, running back Christian McCaffrey could miss this game with an oblique injury. Even though the game is in Minnesota, the 49ers are heavily favored. If the Vikings lose this game, they could begin shopping players before the trade deadline next week. Each week, Canal Street Chronicles will preview some of the best props and wagers for every Monday primetime game. Thank you to our friends over at DraftKings Sportsbook for the wagering lines for the CSC Monday Night Football week 7 preview and props.

CSC MNF week 7 props and best bets

49ers game line -5.5(-146)

The Niners go into this game pretty heavily favored. It might be a very long night for the Vikings if the 49ers decide to avenge their tough loss last week. Up until last week, the 49ers had put up over 30 points in three straight games. Not only that, but their defense has not allowed over 17 points in four straight. With the Vikings missing Justin Jefferson, there are likely not many weapons in Minnesota that are going to scare the top-5 defense. Everything about this game seems obvious, but games are not played on paper. Take the 49ers but move the line down a bit to equate for the randomness of the NFL.

Brandon Aiyuk over 4.5 receptions(-166)

The Vikings defense gives up one of the lowest yards per catch in the league while simultaneously giving up the second highest catch rate. This should be good news for Brandon Aiyuk who will be the primary receiver for Brock Purdy with the injury to Deebo Samuel. Aiyuk was targeted 10 times last week and that volume should carry over to Monday Night Football. If the 49ers get out to an early lead, they could lean on their superior rushing attack which could hurt this prop. It is still too juicy to pass up though, especially since Aiyuk has emerged as Purdy’s top pure receiver.

Largest lead of the game 14.5(-110)

One of the best all-around teams in the NFL travels to face a team rumored to be ready to trade players to look at next year. This game could get out of hand quickly if the 49ers are at their very best. If the offense puts up points and then the defense can add a score, the 49ers could jump out to a big lead. For the Vikings, they will need rookie Jordan Addison to explode and hope the defense can get a turnover to get to this line. Either way, this prop has a very good shot at hitting simply due to the explosiveness of both teams.

Long shot of the night

Vikings total points 0-10(+300)

The Vikings have the third worst rushing offense in the NFL. They have a good passing offense but will be without Justin Jefferson for several games. It will also not help the Vikings that they are facing a top-10 defense against the pass. The point total for this game is set at just 43 which is pretty low and is indicative of at least one team struggling to score. After losing last week, the 49ers could be looking to prove a point against a fellow NFC team. A shut out from the team out of San Francisco is very much in play on Monday night.
