The New Orleans Saints will be adding another kicker to their roster as insurance due to Blake Grupe dealing with a minor injury, who is considered day to day, per a report by Nick Underhill.

During Sunday’s 24-15 loss against the Atlanta Falcons, Grupe split the uprights with five field goals and finishing 5 of 6 as he missed a 54-yard field goal attempt. He has made 24-of-30 field goals since joining the team, with a 55-yard long and making all 19 of the extra points attempted.

On Tuesday, the Saints tried out several kickers. Among them were Mason Crosby, a veteran kicker who has been a free agent since March when the Green Bay Packers released him. As well as Taylor Bertolet, James McCourt and Austin Siebert. Ultimately, the Saints decided to go with Austin Siebert and will sign him to the practice squad.

Seibert was drafted by the Cleveland Brown in 2019 and was most recently with the New York Jets.
