CSC MNF week 14 props and best bets
Tommy DeVito over 16.5 rushing yards(-110)
Tommy DeVito is competing for his future in the NFL, and it shows nearly every week. He is making the most of his opportunity, but it remains to be seen if he can perform under the bright lights. The matchup for DeVito and the Giants is mildly difficult but DeVito will use his legs when needed. One thing the Packers do poorly is tackle scrambling quarterbacks. The Packers allow the fifth-most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks on a per game basis. They are comfortable letting quarterbacks get minor rushes to limit big plays, which should mean DeVito will see open lanes to scramble all game. DeVito has 83 yards rushing through five games and will add to that tally this week and go for more than 17 yards.
Romeo Doubs over 40.5 receiving yards(-115)
The Packers might have one of the deepest receiving units of young talent in the entire NFL. Quarterback Jordan Love and these receivers have played much better as the season wanes and it appears as if every one of them is a viable starter for the team. Christian Watson was injured last week and will miss this week’s game which should greatly benefit Romeo Doubs on the outside. Whenever Watson is out, Love looks for Doubs who should have a very good matchup this week. The Giants are bottom-10 in the league against the pass and opposing wide receivers, surrendering nearly 200 yards per game to the position. Doubs will be a viable option in all props this week as he easily eclipses 41 yards.
Chig Okonkwo over 32.5 receiving yards(-120)
Chig Okonkwo has been one of the best parts of the Titans offense after Will Levis began playing. Okonkwo has five or more targets in three of the Titans last four games. In his last two games, Okonkwo has over 100 yards combined as his role cements further into the team. That should continue this week against a Dolphins team that allows seven catches and 50 yards per game to opposing tight ends. With the high-powered Dolphins offense likely scoring early and often, Levis will need to throw to keep up with the team from Miami. This plays into this prop for Okonkwo who tallies more than 33 yards this week.
Jaylen Waddle over 4.5 receptions(-160)
The Dolphins boast one of the best offenses in the entire NFL. Tua Tagovailoa has been dealing most of the year by just getting the ball to his elite playmakers every game. Waddle is the one guy that Tagovailoa looks for when in trouble or needing a quick first down. Waddle has not gotten fewer than six targets in eight straight Dolphins games. In their last three games, he has gotten at least eight. The best part of the Titans defense is their front so Tagovailoa is likely to have to get the ball out quickly at times, which will benefit Waddle who should have ample opportunity to go over five catches.
Long shot of the night
Dolphins to win, Packers to win, both games Over total(+436)
A double-header on the slate opens up the opportunity for a Monday night parlay. Both teams chasing the playoffs are likely to win so easily throw the money line at each. Defenses are optional for all four of these teams at times which puts the over in play for both games. If DeVito can just manage some meager points for the Giants, that game should easily hit the over. Meanwhile, the Dolphins can explode at any second and carry an over. Half of Packers games go over while 60% of Dolphins games go over. Stack these together for a fun play in this year’s last Monday Night Football double-header.
