On Tuesday December 12th, New Orleans Saints safety Tyrann Mathieu hosted his annual Tyrann’s Christmas Blessing with Son of a Saint. Mathieu had dinner with 10 families from the organization, getting to know each one of them and then surprising them by fulfilling their Christmas wish lists.

Earlier this month, the Saints announced that Mathieu was their Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. The award is the league’s most prestigious honor which acknowledges NFL players who excel on the field and demonstrate a passion for creating a lasting positive impact beyond the game in their communities. Mathieu’s Christmas Blessing is just one of the many events that he hosts throughout the year for the community.
