One of the hottest teams in the league travel to face a shaky situation in the Big Easy. The suddenly interesting New York Giants face the New Orleans Saints in a game that could be a playoff eliminator. The Saints are coming off of a less-than impressive win over one of the league’s worst teams in the Carolina Panthers. Meanwhile, the Giants have won three straight including an impressive win over the Green Bay Packers. With just a few weeks left in the season, every game matters. Each week, CSC will preview and highlight some wagers for every Saints game. Thanks to our friends over at DraftKings Sportsbook for the lines for the Saints vs Giants week 15 best bets.

NFL Week 15 Saints vs Giants best bets

Giants game line +6.5(-129)

The final score of last week’s Saints game looks better than they did in the actual game. A late surge left the game without question but the offense struggled once again. If Derek Carr and the offense struggle once again, they could find themselves in a hole incapable of being escaped. This is especially true because one of the areas of advantage for the Giants will be on the sideline. Brian Daboll has proven to be able to elevate the roster around him, even a third-string quarterback. The Saints are one of the worst teams against the spread in the NFL because they struggle to be consistent on the offensive side of the ball. Those struggles are not likely going to be rectified this season, so always take the points of well-coached teams.

Tommy DeVito over 31.5 rushing yards(-115)

As many Saints fans and media realize, rushing quarterbacks tend to have open running lanes against the Dennis Allen defense. Allen’s defense was great in the NFC South playing against pocket quarterbacks like Matt Ryan and Andy Dalton. It was when the team had to face athletic quarterbacks where the holes in the defense were prevalent. The Giants Italian sensation Tommy DeVito is going to give the Saints issues. DeVito often makes a quick read and then uses his athleticism to make positive plays. The Saints will struggle once again against DeVito as he easily eclipses 32 rushing yards this week.

Derek Carr over 1.5 passing touchdowns(+145)

If Derek Carr cannot have a good game this week, then this season might be completely lost. On paper, the matchup looks good for Carr to have a good game. In the last month, no team has surrendered more receptions than the New York Giants defense. They allow the second-most yards over the same span and give up over a touchdown per game. Another home game should help the team’s preparations as well. Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara have favorable matchups as long as Carr makes good decisions with the ball. It might take until the fourth quarter, but Carr has two touchdowns against the Giants.

Long shot of the game

Race to 20 points - Giants(+285)

The Saints usually start games decently, followed by too many inept drives, and then make a strong push in the fourth quarter. With the Giants having a big advantage in the coaching department, they could easily jump out to a big lead. Carr is always going to turn the ball over at least once per game as well, giving the Giants a short field at least once. The Giants are one of the hottest teams in football and will be playing loose and ready to continue their playoff push.
