The NFL is almost coming to a close, and it's looking clear who will take the NFC South. While the race is still open, it's the Tampa Bay Buccaneers race to lose. With all of that being said, let's check in on these four teams.

State of the New Orleans Saints

It looks like the Saints will miss the playoffs again in 2023. A loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially knocks the team out of the playoffs. The Saints have some serious soul-searching to do in the offseason. With one of the easiest schedules and divisions in the NFL, this team failed to capitalize repeatedly.

State of the Carolina Panthers

Things are looking slightly up for the Panthers. Bryce Young is finally showing the world what he can do. It's taken the first overall pick some time, but he has been great these past two weeks.

State of the Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are also still trying to claw their way into the playoffs. They sit in second place in the NFC South with a 7-8 record. They're coming off a win versus the Indianapolis Colts, where the offense shinned. Bijan Robinson recorded over 100 total yards on 19 touches.

State of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs look like a sleeper team for the playoffs after destroying the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. QB Baker Mayfield continues to shine this season and deserves all the praise he's getting. The 28-year-old faced a lot of scrutiny in the offseason and silenced his doubters with a terrific season. The Bucs are in the driver's seat to win the NFC South with just two games remaining.
