Saints Week 18 Start/Sit against Falcons

It’s all in for New Orleans this week for a playoff spot.

NFL: New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Two NFC division titles and two playoff berths are still up for grabs in the final week of the 2023 NFL regular season. The New Orleans Saints take on the Atlanta Falcons. They have a chance to take the NFC South if they win on Sunday and Tampa Bay loses or ties. With the severity of this game, as a fan you would wish for full roster availability. As deep as the rivalry is between the Saints and Falcons, one would expect insane intensity and high tempers to be in full effect. No love for the Dirty Birds over here. Let’s take a look at who to start/sit in Week 18.

Alvin Kamara - Start

Even though he is listed as questionable, I would take the gamble and start him on the roster if you have him. It’s stated that his status will lead up to a game time decision. If you are not 100 percent sold on Kamara to start, then go with another RB option or start Jamaal Williams.

Juwan Johnson - Sit

Johnson is listed as questionable with a chest injury. Jimmy Graham will probably see more field time in this game.

Jimmy Graham - Start

Graham has proven to be a red zone warrior for the Saints. With Johnson questionable, expect the possibility to see Graham on the field to get some points. With him having a 1-year contract, Graham will definitely want the opportunity to score.

Chris Olave - Start

Even though he had an ankle injury, Olave wasn’t listed on the final injury report. He racked up 129 yards against the Rams despite his performance in Week 17 in a 23-13 win over Tampa Bay.

Derek Carr - Start

Carr was efficient in Week 17 against Tampa Bay. He focused heavily on Juwan Johnson, connecting with him for 90 yards. With Johnson questionable this week, Carr will most likely focus on Olave and Graham with Hill in the rotation.

Taysom Hill - Start

With Johnson, Perry, and Kamara questionable, expect to see Hill in his normal Swiss-army rotation. Hill had two rushes and caught both of his targets for 30 yards and a touchdown during Sunday’s 23-13 win against Tampa Bay.

Kendre Miller - Sit: Ankle injury

A.T. Perry - Sit: Illness

Who will you be starting this week? What type of numbers do you expect to see this week against the Dirty Birds?
